Preparations are in full swing for our 4th Annual Benefit, which will be held on Sunday, October 13, 2013 from 5:00-9:00pm at the HYATT Regency Bethesda.
Our Benefit Committee has been fantastic, and their efforts, along with those of the MCFJC Foundation Board, have secured sensational items for both the Silent and Live Auctions including vacation packages, jewelry, artworks, numerous fashionable accessories, sporting and concert event tickets and more!
A special appeal led by a professional auctioneer will raise additional funds specifically for the Courage Lion Program. The Program allows the staff at the Montgomery County Family Justice Center (MCFJC) to give all children Duffy, the Courage Lion, when they come to the Center (http://www.couragelion.org).
Greta Kreuz, Award-winning Reporter and Anchor, ABC7/WJLA-TV, will serve as Mistress of Ceremonies for a second year in a row.
The event, held each year on a Sunday evening in October, helps remind us that October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month. Dignitaries will join corporate and foundation leaders, as well as numerous individual supporters to help raise awareness and funds for the Montgomery County Family Justice Center.
Event highlights will include cocktails and dinner, a silent and live auction and recognition of this year’s honorees.
